Amy S. Goldman, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist
Amy is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor serving Huntingdon Valley Pa since 2016. She has worked as a Massage Therapist since 2011 after completing the Professional Bodywork & Massage Therapy program at Cortiva Institute School of Muscle Therapy in King of Prussia PA.
She discovered an affinity for Myofascial Release during school and many subsequent continuing education courses. She continues to find it to be the most effective set of techniques to incorporate into her treatments. Her massage style favors deep tissue sculpting, myofascial release and neuromuscular positioning techniques, in combination with appropriate stretching and posture application. She is enthusiastic about finding and relieving soft tissue issues with an effective yet subtle approach to help clients recover from injuries, improve athletic performance and function and feel their best. Her goal with each client is to provide a customized experience that will allow for deep release within the muscles and connective tissue. She has bolstered her toolkit with many additional certifications including Hot Stone, Gua Sha, Thai Massage, Cupping and Acupressure.
Amy has been Practicing Yoga for over twenty years. She earned a Yin Yoga Teacher Certification in 2009 from Main Line Yoga and soon after completed her 200hr Teacher Certification at Yoga on Main in Manayunk. She was trained in a style of Hatha Yoga incorporating asana, pranayama, mudra, & meditation. She teaches Yin, Hatha, & Vinyasa but Yin remains her favorite to practice and to teach. She values yoga for its powerful capacity for transformation of the body and connection with the self. She's committed to sharing these practices so that others can experience profound healing and growth.
Amy has a passion for fitness and helping the body and mind function optimally. She uses her understanding of physiology to cater her treatments to each client's activities and goals. She takes joy in working with athletes and active adults, as well as those healing from injuries or pregnancy. She recognizes the importance of strength, stability and mobility on quality of life. She has earned personal training certifications as a Corrective Exercise Specialist, a FitForBirth Prenatal Fitness & Corrective Exercise Instructor, & as a Diastasis Core Consultant. She earned a Pre/Perinatal Massage Therapy certification while working as a Certified Massage Therapist in California from 2015-2017. She enthusiastically believes in an integrative approach to health and is committed to helping clients find harmony in their bodies and feel their best potential selves.
